Web 2.0 Resources

Web 2.0 is a trend in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to facilitate creativity, information sharing, and, most notably, collaboration among users. The beauty of web 2.0 software is that they do not need to be installed, and they are readily available on the Internet. There is probably a web 2.0 application out there for just about anything ... mostly free and sometimes more powerful than what is installed on our computers. Granted they are not all perfect, but what is listed below has been used and recommended.  Web 2.0 is impacting technology fast and furiously and everyone need to be savvy about how to harness its power.

Remember some sites request that you register to access the full features of the site.  So it is important that you have a usable email address and that you don't give out any personal information when registering.

NOTICE:  Remember that many 2.0 websites specifically say that CHILDREN UNDER 13 CANNOT USE their site.  This would include all elementary students and 6th-7th grade middle school students.  Irving ISD has developed a document guide to keep track of those sites and to keep Irving ISD compliant.
