  Gale Virtual Reference Library - eBooks

Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research.  Within each online book title, sections of the book can be downloaded or emailed to an account.  Your librarian (or the link below) can provide you the remote access password.

The College Open Textbooks Collaborative, a collection of twenty-nine educational non-profit and for-profit organizations, affiliated with more than 200 colleges, is focused on driving awareness and adoptions of open textbooks to more than 2000 community and other two-year colleges. This includes providing training for instructors adopting open resources, peer reviews of open textbooks, and mentoring online professional networks that support for authors opening their resources, and other services.

Wikibooks is a Wikimedia project, set up on July 10, 2003. Since then, volunteers have written around 11,312 book modules in a multitude of books and more are added every week.


Wiki Junior  (Free)

The idea behind Wikijunior is to produce a series of full-color glossy booklets (48 pages, 8 ˝ x 11) for a young audience (ages 8-11) on a variety of topics that interest kids.   These booklets will be richly illustrated with photographs, diagrams, sketches, and original drawings. They should be appealing to kids, and the writing should be light and friendly.
